Dr. Michael Hogan 

Dr. Mike grew up in the town of Waynesville and graduated from Tuscola High School in 1999. He then went on to pursue a degree in Biology from North Carolina State University graduating in 2004. Dr. Mike took up an interest in Chiropractic while living in Colorado. He had always had sinus issues and he noticed after seeing a chiropractor regularly, these life long symptoms simply disappeared. His curiosity about chiropractic continued to grow so he applied to Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA in 2006. Dr. Hogan then received his Doctorate of Chiropractic in October of 2009 and had been enjoying the challenges practice brings. Some of his all star cases have been with vertigo, hearing loss, and even reproductive issues. His whole body approach to treating the spine allows him to see more than just pain cases.  He is driven to help Haywood county by giving adjustments and providing top notch health education within his clinic. Dr. Mike enjoys mountain biking, snowboarding, and most of all spending time with his kids.

Dr. Mike is married to Dr. Tara Hogan D.C. and they are blessed with one beautiful 11 year old daughter, Cora, a vibrant 8 year old son, Maxwell, 5 year old Emmett who is the family comedian, and their youngest daughter Aurora. All four children are happy and healthy and were born in the comfort of their own home.

Dr. Tara grew up in Rock Island, IL and graduated from Rock Island High School in 2001. She then went on to complete a Bachelor of Arts in English and Women's and Gender Studies at Augustana College graduating in 2005. She felt she was called to become a chiropractor after having success with her own back problems stemming from gymnastics and track and field injuries.  Dr. Tara graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic, Davenport, IA, in February of 2010. She has a special interest in helping women and children with their spinal, nutritional, and wellness needs. Dr. Tara has completed all 14 courses in pediatrics through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association. She now has postgraduate knowledge in taking care of pregnant patients, sensory disorders, infant issues, and cranial conditions. She is passionate about birth because she believes the way we are born can set the tone for our entire life.  The doctor also serves her community by coaching Waynesville Middle School track and field. She has great passion and excitement about being a mom, staying fit, and changing the way we view pediatric health care. She says, "As the twig is bent, so grows the tree."

Drs. Mike and Tara have been helping people gain better health and feel GREAT in Waynesville, NC since 2009. As Chiropractors with experience, they are committed to promoting optimal health and well being of  patients.
