Dr. Michael Hogan and Dr. Tara Hogan are licensed in North Carolina and board certified by the state of North Carolina and by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners. They enjoy serving the Waynesville community and believe Haywood county is the best county around!
Dr. Mike grew up in the town of Waynesville and graduated from Tuscola High School in 1999. He then went on to pursue a degree in Biology from North Carolina State University graduating in 2004. Dr. Mike took up an interest in Chriopractic while living in Colorado. He had always had sinus issues and he noticed after seeing a chiropractor regularly, these life long symptoms simply disappeared. His curiosity about chiropractic continued to grow so he applied to Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA in 2006. Dr. Hogan then received his Doctorate of Chiropractic in October of 2009 and had been enjoying the challenges practice brings. Some of his all star cases have been with vertigo, hearing loss, and even reproductive issues. His whole body approach to treating the spine allows him to see more than just pain cases. He is driven to help Haywood county by giving adjustments and providing top notch health education within his clinic. Dr. Mike enjoys mountain biking, snow boarding, and most of all spending time with his kids.
Dr. Mike is married to Dr. Tara Hogan D.C. and they are blessed with one beautiful 7 year old daughter, Cora, and a vibrant 5 year old son, Maxwell and 2 year old Emmett who is the family comedian. All 3 children are happy and healthy and were born in the comfort of their own home.

At Blue Mountain Chiropractic the doctors use a "whole person approach". This approach to body function means looking for underlying causes of any disturbance or disruption (which may or may not be causing symptoms at the time) and make whatever interventions and lifestyle adjustments that would optimize the conditions for normal function. Using this unique approach, Dr. Mike and Dr. Tara are able to help you to accelerate and/or maintain your journey to good health.
