Meet the Doctor

Dr. Michael Hogan and Dr. Tara Hogan are licensed and board certified Chiropractors serving the Waynesville community.

Dr. Mike grew up in the town of Waynesville and graduated from Tuscola High School in 1999. He then went on to pursue a degree in Biology from North Carolina State University graduating in 2004. Dr. Mike took up an interest in Chriopractic while living in Colorado. He had always had sinus issues and he noticed after seeing a chiropractor regularly, these life long symptoms simply disappeared. His curiosity about chiropractic continued to grow so he applied to Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA in 2006. Dr. Hogan then received his Doctorate of Chiropractic in October of 2009 and had been loving being in practice ever since. 

Dr. Mike is married to Dr. Tara Hogan D.C. and they are blessed with one beautiful 3 year old daughter, Cora, and a vibrant one year old son, Maxwell.

Dr. Tara grew up in Rock Island, IL and graduated from Rock Island High School in 2001. She then went on to complete a Bachelor of Arts in English and Women's and Gender Studies at Augustana College and graduated in 2005. She felt she was called to become a chiropractor after having success with her own back problems stemming from gymnastics and track and field injuries. Dr. Tara graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic  in Davenport, IA in February of 2010. She has a special interest in helping women and children with their spinal and wellness needs. 

Drs. Mike and Tara have been freeing people from pain in the clinic in Waynesville, NC. As Chiropractors with experience, they are committed to promoting optimal health and well being of  patients.

At Blue Mountain Chiropractic the doctors use a "whole person approach". This approach to wellness means looking for underlying causes of any disturbance or disruption (which may or may not be causing symptoms at the time) and make whatever interventions and lifestyle adjustments that would optimize the conditions for normal function. Using this unique approach, Dr. Mike and Dr. Tara  are able to help you to accelerate and/or maintain your journey to good health.
